Turn meeting notes into Slack updates and a next-meeting booking

A Zapier Agents demo turned a meeting transcript into follow-up messages and used calendars to suggest the next meeting time.

Done with Zapier Agents· Intermediate

What they did
The user linked Zapier in Claude, approved it with OAuth, and built an MCP server through mcp.zapier.com. They connected Google Drive, Slack, and Zoom, but kept sensitive actions like deleting files disabled. In the demo, the agent searched for the transcript in Google Docs, pulled out tasks from the discussion, sent messages to teammates in Slack, and looked across calendars to find an opening for the next meeting.
How it went
The workflow appeared in a video demo at about 3:15. No performance figures were given, and the demo did not show any failure cases for the follow-up process.
Tips
Keep the first version limited to read access, then expand permissions only after testing the workflow. Treat any cost or lock-in claims with caution unless you can verify them yourself.

Try it yourself with Zapier Agents

Create an agent that helps me close out meetings. After a session about [project or meeting topic], locate the transcript in [Google Docs, Zoom, Google Meet, or Fireflies], identify the follow-up tasks and who should own them, and prepare Slack drafts for the people involved. Next, inspect availability in [Google Calendar] and suggest times for the next meeting. Before any message is sent or any calendar event is created, stop and show me the exact draft for approval.

Fill in the [brackets]. Agents can make mistakes, so review anything before it is sent, paid or deleted.
