What they did
They built one outbound plugin around Claude Code agents to handle much of the outreach process end to end. It covered domain buying in Namecheap, DNS setup in Cloudflare, inbox creation with Zapmail or Aerosend, mailbox warming, offer research from scraped company and competitor data, TAM mapping, lead enrichment, email verification, and campaign setup. A growth manager still joined in for the first pass on TAM mapping and changed the process when a market was unusual.
How it went
That setup let them drop a $350 monthly Clay subscription and keep running outreach on their own. Most clients reached at least 40,000 sends a month, and some got close to 100,000. In comments, they said reply rates were about 2% to 4%, but the offer mattered most.
Tips
Expect maintenance work, especially around TAM mapping and edge cases. Keep a person in the loop before anything is sent, and review the targeting carefully for new or unusual markets.
