Use Claude Code to research leads and prep CRM outreach
A developer had Claude Code score prospects, enrich CRM records, and draft personalized outreach, then reviewed and sent everything manually.
- What they did
- Jonas Braadbaart started with an Apollo export, filtered it himself, and then asked Claude Code to rank the companies against his ideal customer profile. For about 50 selected accounts, the agent researched each company through a custom Perplexity MCP server, created company and contact entries in Attio, and wrote a report tied to his four offers. It also drafted Gmail outreach, but Jonas edited every message before sending.
- How it went
- His first run reached 80 companies and led to one sale. The workflow cut review and message prep to about one minute per lead, instead of an estimated one to two hours without it.
- Tips
- Keep a human in the loop for final review, especially on outreach text. Don’t send the polished report directly, since it can come across like phishing. The setup cost about 120 euros total, plus some Perplexity credits and Instantly.

Here’s a lead list for [company list, CSV, or export]. Score each company against my ICP for [product/service]. For the best matches, research what they do, any recent news, and a likely contact at [target role]. Create or update the company and person records in [CRM name], then draft a short, tailored report for each account and an outreach email I can review. Stop before making any irreversible changes, sending any message, deleting anything, or submitting anything, and wait for my approval.
Fill in the [brackets]. Agents can make mistakes, so review anything before it is sent, paid or deleted.
