Screen leads and draft emails with human sign-off

They used n8n to clean incoming leads, score them, prepare outreach, and hold each message until a person okayed it.

What they did
The developer put together LeadFlow AI V1 in n8n as a staged process. Each lead is checked for validity, compared against existing records to catch repeats, then assessed by AI and marked HOT, WARM, or COLD. For leads that pass, the system writes a custom email draft, stores the data in Google Sheets, and asks a person to review it before anything goes out through Gmail.
How it went
This was shown as a first version, so there were no outcome metrics or countable results. A commenter recommended adding a field that explains why a lead received its score, so the reviewer can inspect the lead source, the rationale, the next action, and the draft in one place. Another commenter said it makes sense to keep approvals in Google Sheets early on and only switch to a dedicated dashboard after the team learns which columns reviewers actually use.
Tips
Keep the approval step where reviewers already work until you know what information they need most. Always stop the flow before sending, deleting, submitting, or paying anything.

Try it yourself with n8n

Create an n8n automation for [source of leads] that checks each incoming lead for bad data and duplicates, compares it with this ideal customer profile: [profile], and then rates it as [HOT/WARM/COLD or 1-10]. For leads worth contacting, write a brief personalized email and record the lead, score, and draft in [Google Sheets/Airtable]. Before any email is sent, pause the workflow and ask me to approve the draft; only continue to Gmail after I confirm. Include the score and a short explanation beside the draft so I can review everything together.

Fill in the [brackets]. Agents can make mistakes, so review anything before it is sent, paid or deleted.
