Organize recurring marketing work with specialist agents
One Claude Code setup split weekly marketing chores across a manager agent and several subagents.
- What they did
- A person built a manager-style agent in Claude Code to handle a weekly marketing plan and decide what should happen in the current three-hour window. It then dispatches helper agents for specific jobs, with those helpers stored as markdown files under .claude/agents/. The system can also call outside tools for things like Reddit access, Hacker News posting, image creation, file uploads, and Slack updates, while the human keeps shaping the rules and plan.
- How it went
- The setup handled routine marketing tasks across several channels. In the first week, the social media helper posted to Reddit twice because the no-repeat rule was too loosely written. The example shows a system that worked, but still needed stricter guardrails.
- Tips
- Be precise about duplication rules and other limits; broad wording can still allow repeated posts. Keep a final approval step for anything that publishes, sends, deletes, or submits content.
Try it yourself with Claude Code
You are my marketing coordinator in [Claude Code or another agent tool]. Read the weekly plan stored at [path/to/weekly-plan], check which [three-hour slot] is active now, and assign the listed work to specialist agents for [social media], [analysis], and any other tasks I include. Use the available connectors for [platform posting], [image generation], [uploads], and [alerts] only as needed. Before any item is published, sent, deleted, or submitted, pause and show me the exact draft, the destination, and the timing, then wait for my approval. Also confirm that nothing is posted or sent twice.
Fill in the [brackets]. Agents can make mistakes, so review anything before it is sent, paid or deleted.
