Automate sales prep, event lists, and follow-ups

A developer set up Claude Code and Claude Cowork to handle research briefs, attendee lists, lead digests, and post-call CRM tasks.

What they did
They built four outbound sales workflows. For pre-call prep, a HubSpot meeting booking kicks off three research agents, which compile a short brief and post it in Slack. For events, a scraper uses Firecrawl through an MCP server, applies a defined schema, enriches the results with Leadsforge, and sends them into a Salesforge campaign. Claude Cowork also runs an early-morning lead summary and a post-call flow that updates approved CRM fields and drafts follow-up emails for AE review.
How it went
The author says call prep now takes under 2 minutes instead of 30 to 45, and event lists take 20 to 30 minutes instead of 4 to 6 hours. One conference list produced five booked meetings. They also say daily post-call admin dropped from 2.5 hours to 10 minutes.
Tips
The lead digest and post-call flow took about a week to tune because they depend on CRM setup and scoring rules. Begin with read-only access before letting the agent write back.

Try it yourself with Claude Cowork

Help me run outbound sales work. When I give you [person], [company], and [date], gather public information on the company, the person, and recent developments, then turn it into a one-page pre-call brief with [3] conversation starters. After the meeting, I’ll paste my notes; convert them into CRM update text for [allowed fields] and a follow-up email draft. Do not send, submit, delete, or change anything until I review and approve it.

Fill in the [brackets]. Agents can make mistakes, so review anything before it is sent, paid or deleted.
