Set up an agent to screen social messages

An agent can watch linked social accounts and tell you which comments, DMs, and mentions deserve a response.

Done with Custom agent· Intermediate· Oct 2026

What they did
The user connected their accounts through FanBase MCP, then opened the agent in an MCP-capable app. From there, it can inspect account activity, sort through fan messages, draft replies, and handle routine answers without help. It also supports a scheduled morning check that produces a briefing.
How it went
In one sample run, 3 important conversations were left for approval while 8 or 11 routine messages were handled automatically. The page gives no accuracy metric and no estimate of time saved.
Tips
Choose permissions carefully before turning it loose. A cautious setup lets it read and draft, but keeps sending replies and publishing posts behind approval.

Every [interval], scan my [platforms] accounts for new comments, DMs, and mentions. Identify anything I should answer, including questions, support problems, partnership inquiries, or messages from notable accounts, and send me a short alert on [channel] with a one-line explanation and a draft response. Do not send, publish, delete, or submit anything unless I approve it first; stop and ask before any step that would commit the action.

Fill in the [brackets]. Agents can make mistakes, so review anything before it is sent, paid or deleted.
