Automate a 7am Slack brief on rivals and mentions

A solo business owner uses an agent to collect rival updates, social mentions, and new reviews, then drops a morning summary into Slack.

What they did
They built the workflow in Twin because many of the sites they watch do not provide APIs, so the agent relies on browser automation to pull the material. It checks competitor coverage, relevant Twitter activity, Reddit mentions they want to track, and fresh G2 reviews, then compiles everything into a Slack update that arrives at 7am. They also tried an agent for turning long posts into social copy, but that output still needed a human to clean up the tone.
How it went
The morning brief saves them roughly two hours each day that used to go into piecing together context from scattered sources. The repurposing experiment was less useful: the facts were right, but the writing still felt obviously produced by an agent.
Tips
When the target sites have no API, browser automation can bridge the gap. For any drafting workflow, make sure a person reviews the tone before anything goes out.

Try it yourself with n8n

Create a workflow that runs every day at [7am in my time zone] and prepares a Slack update for [#channel-name]. Gather recent coverage about these competitors: [competitors], posts on Twitter and Reddit that mention [brand or keywords], and newly posted G2 reviews for [product]. Turn each section into a few simple bullets with links, leave out anything already included in earlier digests, and show me the draft first. Do not send anything to Slack until I approve the draft. After I approve it, post the message and confirm the schedule is enabled.

Fill in the [brackets]. Agents can make mistakes, so review anything before it is sent, paid or deleted.
