Turn Telegram links into a searchable second brain

An n8n Telegram bot saves links to Sheets, keeps one record per URL, and answers questions by searching stored summaries and page text.

Done with n8nยท Advanced

What they did
They built a Telegram bot in n8n that treats each incoming message in three ways: a URL gets saved, a question gets searched, and anything else gets a brief how-to reply. When a link arrives, the workflow sends it through a webhook that cleans up the address, pulls the page with Jina Reader, and asks an AI librarian to summarize it and match it to an existing category. The bot then updates Google Sheets by URL and stores the page text in Supabase for semantic search.
How it went
The setup worked as intended. If the same link is sent again, it updates the existing entry rather than creating a duplicate, and pages that cannot be read are skipped.
Tips
Use this for links you want to revisit later, not for every casual message. Before anything is sent or changed, have the bot show its plan and ask you to confirm.

Try it yourself with n8n

Help me build an n8n Telegram bot that acts as a personal link library. When I send a URL, first normalize it, fetch the page, write a short summary, and assign one category from this list: [category list]. Save the entry in [Google Sheet name] using the URL as the unique key, and also store the page text for later search in [Supabase table or index]. If I send a question, search the saved material and answer from the library. If I send anything else, reply with a short usage hint. Before you do anything irreversible, such as sending messages, saving data, updating an entry, or deleting a record, pause and ask me to confirm. Show me the workflow plan first, then wait for approval.
