Turn Reddit threads into drafted articles

They used n8n to collect Reddit posts, extract comment sentiment, and have AI agents draft and check article copy before publishing to WordPress.

Done with n8n· Advanced

What they did
The maker set up an n8n flow that monitors selected subreddits for posts with article flairs. When it finds one, the workflow grabs the linked article text, summarizes what commenters think, and passes both pieces into writer agents built in different styles. A separate step adds SEO formatting, stores context in Supabase, and records Reddit IDs so the same post is not processed twice; images and tags still needed a person.
How it went
They ran it in batches to catch up on as many as 100 posts. They said OpenRouter usage stayed below $1 for 100 articles, but the system missed stories posted as images or labeled with other flairs. Their fact-checking editor agent also was not dependable yet and could get stuck looping on very fresh information.
Tips
This kind of setup works best when the source is structured text and clearly labeled. Add a pause for review before any publishing step, and expect manual cleanup for images, tags, and edge cases.

Try it yourself with n8n

Set up an n8n workflow for [subreddit or list of subreddits] that finds posts with [specific flair]. For each post, pull the linked source text, summarize the main points and comment sentiment, then ask a writer agent to draft an article in [writer style]. Next, ask an editor agent to check the draft against the source post and comments, list any unsupported claims, and wait for my approval before any publishing, sending, or deleting. Save the draft, the flagged claims, and the source link to [Google Doc/Notion/WordPress draft]. Do not publish anything until I approve the final version.

Fill in the [brackets]. Agents can make mistakes, so review anything before it is sent, paid or deleted.
