Build a homeschool schedule from PDF packets

Claude Cowork took a set of homeschool PDFs and turned them into a 12-day teaching plan.

Done with Claude Cowork· Intermediate

What they did
Michael Crist uploaded the bundle his wife normally sorts each month, with worksheets, reading assignments, and other support materials, some stretching to about 100 pages. He outlined the rhythm for each day, including the subject order, block length, and how the work should flow from one item to the next. Claude Cowork then reviewed the files, organized them by subject, and produced a plan that matched that structure.
How it went
The finished curriculum was laid out by day, color-coded, and included checkboxes, discussion prompts, and popcorn reading. Crist said it took about 40 minutes, versus the roughly 20 hours of weekend labor his wife usually spends.
Tips
When the job involves many files, ask for a preview of the structure before the agent completes the full document. You can also tell it to call out any material that does not fit cleanly.

I’ve uploaded [number] PDFs with homeschool worksheets, readings, and supporting materials. Sort everything by subject, then create a [number]-day curriculum for a student in [grade level] who studies [hours] hours per day. Use this daily order: [describe the subject sequence and time blocks]. Output a finished document that assigns each file to a day and adds checkboxes and discussion prompts. If any file does not fit, list it separately. Before you finish, stop and show me the proposed plan for approval so I can confirm it before anything is saved or submitted.
