Turn meeting notes into a ranked daily task list

What they did
Ron Forbes, a PM, connected Claude Code to an Obsidian vault organized into meetings, summaries, and tasks folders. During the day, he dropped rough meeting notes into the raw notes folder. At the end of the day, he asked Claude to generate summaries, move every action item into tasks/active.md, and label each item HIGH, MEDIUM, or LOW with the right owner and due date when one was mentioned. He later expanded the setup with morning and evening routines, note synthesis, and budget tracking.
How it went
He says the workflow saves him 30 to 45 minutes per day, or about 10 to 12 hours each month, on meeting cleanup. After 30 days, he also had more than 2,000 organized notes. These are his own estimates.
Tips
Claude Code requires a Claude Pro subscription at $20/month or more. Start with one clear workflow and spell out your priority rules so the agent does not guess.

Try it yourself with Claude Code

Help me manage meeting notes in my [folder/path]. Each day, review the new notes I placed in [raw notes folder] and do three things: 1) write a short summary into [summary file or folder], 2) extract every action item into [task file], and 3) sort each task into HIGH, MEDIUM, or LOW priority based on the framework below. For each task, include the owner and any due date mentioned. Show me the finished list and wait for my approval before you change, move, or archive anything outside these files. Do not edit or delete my original notes unless I explicitly approve it. Priority rules: [describe your HIGH/MEDIUM/LOW rules here].

Fill in the [brackets]. Agents can make mistakes, so review anything before it is sent, paid or deleted.
