Schedule AI news posts to X from RSS feeds

An n8n flow turns fresh RSS items into short X posts, ranks them, and publishes the best ones every two hours.

What they did
They built an n8n workflow that checks several RSS sources for AI and tech news, then sends each story to OpenAI to draft a tweet-style post. The workflow scores the drafts for likely engagement, saves them in Google Sheets, and picks the strongest ones to publish to X on a two-hour loop. They also had to work around the free X API tier, which limited how often they could post.
How it went
After a couple of days, they had only a small response, with about 7โ€“8 likes total. They also ran into a posting problem when some drafts were too long, which caused X errors and left the flow stuck for 2โ€“3 days until they added a 270-character limit check.
Tips
A short posting window helps stay within Xโ€™s free API cap of 17 posts per day. If you automate this kind of flow, add a length check before publishing and test the full path with drafts first.

Try it yourself with n8n

Create an n8n workflow that runs every [2 hours], reads the latest items from these RSS feeds: [feed URLs], and filters for [topic]. For each new item, draft a concise X post with the link included, rank the drafts by likely engagement, and save the candidates in [Google Sheets or another tracker]. Before any live post is sent to [X account], pause and show me the draft for approval; only continue after I confirm. Also keep track of posted links so the same story is not published twice, and enforce a hard limit of [270 characters] per post.

Fill in the [brackets]. Agents can make mistakes, so review anything before it is sent, paid or deleted.
