Route customer enquiries through Telegram

They used n8n to collect enquiries, notify them in Telegram, and let AI handle replies, updates, and closing threads.

Done with n8n· Intermediate· Jun 2026

What they did
They built an n8n workflow that takes in enquiries from email and forms, gives each one a unique ID, and creates a ClickUp task. The same flow sends a Telegram alert so the owner can handle everything from one place. When they reply in Telegram, OpenAI reads the message and decides whether to draft a Gmail reply, change the status in Google Sheets, or end the conversation.
How it went
The owner keeps enquiries organized without jumping between tools or losing track of context. They can respond more quickly while still staying in control instead of handing everything over to automation.
Tips
Make sure the agent shows any draft email in Telegram before it sends anything to a customer. Keep a clear status field so the workflow knows whether to reply, update, or close a thread.

Try it yourself with n8n

Set up an n8n workflow that watches [email inbox] and [website form] for new customer enquiries. For each enquiry, create a task in [task app], assign a unique ID, and send me a Telegram message with the key details. When I reply in Telegram, interpret my instruction and either draft a Gmail response, update the item in [tracking sheet], or mark the thread closed. Before any email is sent, any payment is made, any message is submitted, or any record is deleted, show me the exact action in Telegram and wait for my approval.

Fill in the [brackets]. Agents can make mistakes, so review anything before it is sent, paid or deleted.
