Use Replit Agent to ship a game helper and browser game

They built a player-help bot and later a PHP browser game with Replit Agent, but had to watch closely because it kept changing more than asked.

What they did
They started with Replit to make a Python chatbot for new players, then moved the app to AWS and spent weeks fixing deployment problems. After that, they tried the newer Replit agent on a second project: a web game written in PHP that could run on shared hosting. To keep control, they asked for narrow edits, sometimes had the agent explain its planned changes first, and saved copies or made remixes before bigger updates.
How it went
The second project did get launched, and getting the files uploaded plus the setup finished took 3 days. But the agent often touched unrelated code, including CSS, sound, and JavaScript, and at one point it caused major damage across the project.
Tips
Keep backups ready with Git or a remix so you can recover quickly if the agent goes off track. For larger changes, make it describe the exact edits before it starts, especially if the codebase is already working.

Try it yourself with Replit Agent

Help me build a [Python/PHP/etc.] project for [game name] that answers player questions about [quests, builds, bosses, or other topics]. Make only the changes I request, and leave unrelated files and features alone. Before you edit anything, tell me which files you plan to touch and what each change will do, then wait for my approval. Once the main flow works, stop and summarize what you changed and what I should verify next.
