Use Claude Code for everyday computer chores

A user turned to Claude Code for several ordinary tasks that had nothing to do with software development.

What they did
They asked the assistant to review a list of things it had recently handled. It fixed a photo saved in a shared folder and copied the result to the clipboard, examined a PDF for an exam and grouped the question formats, found a hung process and ended it, searched for inexpensive weatherproof steel, checked warranty time left, combined and scaled two pictures, explained wording in a share dialog, and updated an agent name in six files.
How it went
Each job was completed without any programming task being the point of the work. Code showed up only when the user directly asked for it.
Tips
Give the agent one task at a time so it can stay focused and report back cleanly. For actions that would overwrite, erase, send, or submit something, make it show you the targets and wait for your go-ahead first.

Try it yourself with Claude Code

I have several routine chores for you in this folder and on this device: [adjust this photo], [read this PDF and summarize the exam question types], [find and stop a process that is stuck], [look through my files for information on [topic]], [check the remaining warranty for [item]], and [replace [old label] with [new label] in my files]. Work through them separately and report the change after each one. Before any overwrite, delete, send, or submit action, show me the relevant files or items and pause until I approve. End with a short recap of every task and what happened.

Fill in the [brackets]. Agents can make mistakes, so review anything before it is sent, paid or deleted.
