Use ChatGPT Agent to book an airport hotel

A writer had ChatGPT Agent search Booking.com for airport hotels, rank the options, and stop at checkout for manual payment approval.

Done with ChatGPT Agent· Intermediate

What they did
They pasted a detailed set of instructions into ChatGPT Agent and limited it to Booking.com. The agent used their signed-in account, applied the site’s filter names, compared choices, and selected a hotel based on the ranking rules. It then paused on the card verification step and showed the other finalists before they took over.
How it went
For three Gatwick searches, it picked the same hotel they would have chosen, usually within 5 to 10 minutes. It also worked for Stansted. A Reykjavík search failed until they removed the air-conditioning requirement, and the agent sometimes made small mistakes such as misreading a star rating.
Tips
If you rely on specific rules, paste them each time, since agent mode does not keep project instructions. Use a saved Booking.com account, because some UK banks may block 3D Secure during checkout.

Try it yourself with ChatGPT Agent

Find and compare airport hotels for [airport] on [booking site] for [date] and [number] guests. Use these filters: [budget], [cancellation rule], [rating rule], and any other must-haves I list. Rank at least three good matches, explain why the best one wins, then stop before payment or final submission and wait for my approval before entering any card details or confirming the booking.
