Use an agent to send email from your inbox

A commenter used ChatGPT Agent to log into their email, draft outreach, and send the messages themselves.

What they did
They asked ChatGPT Agent to handle a few routine tasks, including emails and messages to their boss. For the email part, the agent first asked them to sign in to their account; after that, it sent the messages from that inbox. They also had it look up about 10 tutors and write separate outreach emails based on what each person could teach.
How it went
The agent sent real email from the signed-in account, including the tutor outreach. The thread does not show whether it could book plane tickets; that came up only as a question from another commenter.
Tips
Keep sign-in and other sensitive steps in your own hands. Ask for the draft, recipient, and subject first, then approve sending before anything goes out.

Try it yourself with ChatGPT Agent

Help me manage email from my inbox. If you need access, ask me to sign in myself. Find or draft an email to [recipient] about [topic], using these points: [key points]. Show me the recipient, subject, and full draft, then stop and wait for my approval before sending. After I approve, send it and confirm when it is done.

Fill in the [brackets]. Agents can make mistakes, so review anything before it is sent, paid or deleted.
