Let ChatGPT Agent handle multi-tab chores

A poster used ChatGPT Agent’s virtual computer to finish repetitive work that usually meant moving data across tabs by hand.

What they did
After a week of trial runs, the poster turned to ChatGPT Agent for jobs that normally required bouncing between browser tabs and manual copying. They gave it a target and let it work through browsing, code execution, file creation, spreadsheet cleanup into charts, code-fix checks, and a competitor-analysis deck. The poster only intervened when the system requested permission for major steps.
How it went
They found it genuinely useful for dull, repetitive tasks, and they liked returning to work that was already done. The downside was the message count: larger jobs could burn through 20–30 agent messages, so the 400-message monthly Pro cap could run out fast.
Tips
Good fit for multi-step tasks you can leave running for a while, especially when the agent can gather, organize, and package the result on its own. Set clear limits and make sure it stops for approval before any irreversible action like logging in, sending, submitting, paying, or deleting.

Please help with [task that normally involves switching among tabs and copying information by hand]. Use [sites, links, documents, or files] as inputs, then produce [spreadsheet/chart/document/slides] as the final deliverable. Work independently until the draft is complete, and tell me about any blocked steps or unresolved issues. Pause and ask before any login, payment, submission, sending, or deletion.

Fill in the [brackets]. Agents can make mistakes, so review anything before it is sent, paid or deleted.
