Use an agent to manage Xianyu chats and pricing

A seller let a custom agent answer Xianyu buyers and adjust prices within limits, while they handled packing and shipping.

What they did
The seller worked with roughly 20 Xianyu listings and had Claude Code create browser automation for the site’s web interface, since there is no official API. The system was split into three pieces: one checked unread chats every few dozen seconds and grouped them, one drafted replies in the seller’s voice, and one handled markdowns and bargaining rules. The seller still took care of sending out the items.
How it went
Over a 15-day run, it completed 27 orders, about 50% more than the month before. It also cut response time to under 40 seconds, and an old Xbox 360 was sold within hours. It could not photograph items, create listings, or decide what to source.
Tips
Set a hard minimum price, keep each price drop to 5% or less, and limit changes to two per item per day. Try the workflow on a spare account first, because the platform may restrict automation.

Help me run my [marketplace] resale account. I have [number] listings here: [list or links]. Check incoming messages, group them by urgency, and draft replies in my usual tone using only the item details I give you. For listings with weak interest, suggest a price move or a negotiation response, but pause before any message is sent, any offer is accepted, or any listing price is changed; first present the proposed action for my approval. Also keep a daily log of messages, suggested price changes, and sales.

Fill in the [brackets]. Agents can make mistakes, so review anything before it is sent, paid or deleted.
