Use a voice agent to book a DMV slot by phone

A voice agent placed the call, worked through the phone menu, and set up a DMV appointment for Olivia Moore.

What they did
Olivia Moore put together a voice agent in under 30 minutes. She used about a minute of audio to clone her voice in Eleven Labs, then linked that voice to a Vapi assistant running on GPT-4 Turbo. After adding the DMV number, the reason for the visit, her date of birth, and preferred dates, she bought a $2 Twilio number and started the outbound call. The agent handled keypad steps and automated DMV prompts on its own.
How it went
The appointment was booked after one or two small prompt changes. Each call cost less than $0.40, and the call logs showed it got through the system well enough to finish the job.
Tips
Give the agent the exact call target, the reason for the appointment, and the dates you want. Make sure it pauses for your approval before it confirms any booking.

Set up a voice agent that can call [office name] at [phone number] to request an appointment for [service]. Use my voice if I provide a short sample, and speak as [my name]. Include [date of birth] and [preferred date range] when asked. If the system offers times, collect the options and then stop before confirming anything irreversible; ask me to approve the final choice first. If the call reaches a menu or automated system, handle the keypad steps needed to continue.

Fill in the [brackets]. Agents can make mistakes, so review anything before it is sent, paid or deleted.
