Render a video, then post it in Slack manually
When Slack upload support failed, an agent revised the video, re-rendered it, and finished the post with Computer Use.
- What they did
- A developer used one Codex thread to review feedback in Slack, make the requested video edits, and produce a fresh render. Because the Slack connection could not handle file uploads, Jason Liu had the thread switch to Computer Use for the last step. That final step opened Slack, chose Add file, and attached the new video to the thread.
- How it went
- The video was posted in Slack even though the integration could not upload files on its own. The case is described briefly, and it does not give any timing or completion figures.
- Tips
- Use the simpler integration when it can finish the job. Save Computer Use for the last stretch when you only need clicks and uploads.
Try it yourself with Codex
Read the feedback in [Slack channel or thread link], update my video project at [project path] to match it, and export a new render to [output file]. Then open Slack with computer use, go to the same thread, and attach the rendered file using Add file. Before you post anything, show me the file name, the destination thread, and the message text, then wait for my approval.
