Link Alexa+ to booking apps and test it first

A reporter connected Alexa+ to several services and tried basic tasks before using it for reservations, but the assistant often misunderstood or stalled.

What they did
During Echo Spot setup, they accepted the Alexa+ beta invite and connected OpenTable, Ticketmaster, Uber, and Thumbtack one by one. Each service asked for its own permissions, which they approved separately. They then tried built-in features instead of making a booking: calendar help, saving a number, summarizing a forwarded email, and tracking a price.
How it went
The assistant felt unfinished. It interrupted, misheard requests, read back a saved number incorrectly, captured only 3 of 12 key dates, and sometimes did nothing at all. They did not reach the booking tests in this round.
Tips
If you link multiple services, expect to approve access separately and check what each one is asking for. Test simple tasks first so you can catch errors before asking it to book or pay for anything.

Try it yourself with Alexa+

Help me arrange [a dinner reservation / event tickets / a ride / a home service] for [date and time] using my connected [OpenTable / Ticketmaster / Uber / Thumbtack] account. First show me the options, total cost, and any key details. Stop and ask for my approval before you confirm, pay, or send anything.
