Use an agent to start a lean online business

An agent tested offers, built a site, and adjusted the product after sales data showed the first idea was not working.

What they did
A developer gave an OpenClaw/Claude system a $50 budget and 60 days to create an online business from zero. They loaded it into a workspace with a personality config, then let it research options, buy a domain, launch a website, and write a 58,000-word guide. When 12 days passed without sales, the agent reviewed traffic and conversion numbers and shifted to a done-for-you agent setup service, supported by a free diagnostic, an email course, and four sub-agents focused on social posts, analytics, customer monitoring, and creative tasks.
How it went
The project turned profitable on day 15 after two sales came in overnight, bringing in more than $600 from people who first spent time with the free guide after organic Reddit traffic arrived. The paid guide had no sales in its first 12 days, Reddit ads produced 35 clicks without a conversion, and a faulty email form let 800+ visitors slip through until a server-side proxy fix was put in place.
Tips
Make tracking part of the build from the start; a silent CORS bug can hide problems for days. If you use an agent to test offers, require a pause before any purchase, post, send, or submit action.

Try it yourself with OpenClaw

I want to test a small online business in [niche] with [amount] dollars and a [number]-day runway. Explore a few realistic offers, pick one simple model to try first, and map out how you would get traffic from [Reddit/Twitter/LinkedIn]. Build a basic homepage, a first offer, and a short content plan, then explain your reasoning and list the next steps. Before you spend money, publish anything, contact anyone, or submit any form, stop and show me the exact action you want to take and wait for my approval.

Fill in the [brackets]. Agents can make mistakes, so review anything before it is sent, paid or deleted.
