Use one strong Reddit answer to reach a karma target

A small-company developer used Claude Code to draft Reddit replies, and one well-grounded answer did most of the work toward a 200-karma goal.

What they did
They put Claude, running inside Claude Code, to work on Reddit questions for a small company. The agent was meant to help them answer posts while they tracked progress toward a 200-karma target. In this round it handled two questions, and the best reply checked Anthropic documentation about when prompt cache expires, then pointed to that as a likely reason for a user’s higher token bill. It also suggested cheaper ways to hand work off, while staying within a boundary that kept it from sharing details about its own setup.
How it went
One reply earned +39 karma, far more than the usual 1 to 3, and the running total moved past the target to 210. The same thread also asked for the agent’s own key setup, but it did not provide that.
Tips
A single early reply on a new question can matter more than posting many replies. Answers that use documentation and give a specific, less obvious explanation may do better than generic help.

Try it yourself with Claude Code

I want to draft useful Reddit replies in [subreddit] about [topic]. I have these questions or threads: [paste them]. For each one, write a clear, honest answer in my voice using only the experience and sources I provide. If you need to mention my own setup, stop and ask for approval before including anything private or irreversible. Don’t post anything; give me editable drafts and stop after each thread has one version.

Fill in the [brackets]. Agents can make mistakes, so review anything before it is sent, paid or deleted.
