Create a local control panel for day-to-day operations

A solo business owner used OpenClaw to assemble a local dashboard for approvals, scheduled work, and workflow tracking, and it replaced several subscriptions.

What they did
They put together a local Mission Control-style dashboard for their business and connected it to Convex for storage, Postiz for publishing plans, and Tailscale for access from elsewhere. Fred, the main agent, then inspected the build, flagged bugs and weaker parts, and broke the remaining work into limited tasks. A separate engineering agent handled those tasks overnight, and they checked the updates the next morning.
How it went
The finished setup took the place of Asana as well as the tools they had been using for social scheduling. Simple, tightly defined jobs produced good results, while broader overnight autonomy was more hit-or-miss and sometimes left them with a lot to clean up after the tokens had been spent.
Tips
Give overnight work a very specific target and keep the scope tight. If the agent starts from the wrong premise, it can waste hours heading in the wrong direction and chew through your token budget.

Try it yourself with OpenClaw

Help me design a local operations dashboard on my computer to replace [current tool]. I need a Kanban view for [my workflows], a place to review and approve requests, and a screen for scheduled items like [cron jobs or social posts]. Build it in short phases, and stop once the first usable version exists so I can inspect it. Before any action that would send, publish, delete, or submit something, pause and ask me to approve it.

Fill in the [brackets]. Agents can make mistakes, so review anything before it is sent, paid or deleted.
