Combine daily news, mail, events, and weather in one digest

An n8n workflow can gather several daily inputs, then let an agent turn them into a short message with a personal read on the day.

What they did
One commenter built a basic n8n automation that collected news, email, calendar entries, and weather data, then bundled them into a single note. They added an AI step so the digest also reflected the agent’s interpretation of what mattered. A different commenter said they rely on agents earlier on, using them to shape automation ideas, check whether they work, and only afterward translate the approved version into an n8n flow.
How it went
The digest was presented as a small side project, but the commenter said it played a role in their later move to a Workato team. The discussion did not include implementation details, runtime information, or any measured results for the digest itself.
Tips
Use the agent to sketch and vet the workflow before you wire it up in n8n. Keep mail access read-only until you’re satisfied with the output, and stop for approval before anything is sent or changed.

Try it yourself with n8n

I want to build a morning digest in n8n. Ask me which [news sources or topics], [email inbox], [calendar], and [weather location] I want included, then draft a flow that pulls those items together and writes a short summary with an AI step. Before any action that sends, submits, deletes, or edits data, pause and ask for my approval. After I confirm, turn the approved plan into an n8n workflow I can test safely.

Fill in the [brackets]. Agents can make mistakes, so review anything before it is sent, paid or deleted.
