Build a live budget model from your company data
C&S Paper used WorkBuddy to replace slow spreadsheet budget checks with instant scenario testing.
- What they did
- At C&S Paper, President Gao Bo had WorkBuddy create tools for budget planning after the company brought it in during June. Rather than waiting for an Excel workbook to be revised, he could change a figure such as adding 2 million yuan to one budget line and immediately see the projected effect, then refine it again. The agent operated inside a separate data sandbox with permission tiers, while finance teams created Skills that other departments could reuse.
- How it went
- What had been a budgeting process with five or six scenarios stretched across more than two months, plus about a week for each change, became immediate feedback. The company’s account count rose from 500 to nearly 1,300, and several hundred employees now perform basic analysis. Hallucinations still happen, so the CDO uses one run to generate analysis and another to verify it, and managers keep responsibility for the final decision.
- Tips
- Build one workflow to produce the numbers and a second to check them. Keep the agent in a restricted environment and treat its output as decision support, not the decision itself.

Using [folder, spreadsheet, or database], make a budget planning tool for [team or project]. Let me change inputs such as [headcount, spend category, revenue, or other assumptions] and show the updated totals and scenario impact right away. Include a summary that compares each scenario with [last year, target, or baseline]. When the draft is ready, stop and ask for my approval before you save, submit, send, delete, or overwrite anything.
Fill in the [brackets]. Agents can make mistakes, so review anything before it is sent, paid or deleted.
