Build a job search app that matches and applies for roles

A developer used Replit Agent to help create SimpleApply.ai, a tool that finds matching jobs, ranks them, and can apply only after the user approves.

What they did
They turned a personal job-hunting tool into SimpleApply.ai. Users upload a resume, add profile details, and the agent searches for roles that fit, scores them for interview chances, and can handle applications if the user turns that on. The builder says Replit’s agent wrote about 80% of the app, while they filled in pieces like authentication.
How it went
They say the system uncovered many remote jobs that users were not seeing elsewhere. The product grew from the builder’s own use to requests from friends and coworkers for access. There were no published performance numbers, and auto-apply stays optional because some users prefer not to use it.
Tips
If you want this setup, keep the search and application steps separate so people can review matches before anything is sent. Be prepared to handle the tricky account and login parts yourself if the agent stalls there.

Try it yourself with Replit Agent

Build a web app called [app name] that helps users find jobs for [job title] in [location]. Let each user upload a resume and fill out a profile, then search for matching openings, rank them by likely interview fit, and prepare an application draft for each match. Show the user every draft and stop for approval before any application is sent, submitted, or otherwise acted on. If the user chooses, allow an opt-in mode that can auto-apply to approved matches. Include login, saved profiles, and a simple dashboard for reviewing results.

Fill in the [brackets]. Agents can make mistakes, so review anything before it is sent, paid or deleted.
