Build a grading and lesson-planning app

They made a proof-of-concept app that used ChatGPT to grade papers, draft lesson plans, and write feedback for teachers.

Done with ChatGPT· Advanced

What they did
They built Archimedes, a React and Flask app that wrapped ChatGPT in prompt templates for different school levels, from elementary through doctorate. The app could read uploaded files into the prompt and then run separate templates for grading, lesson planning, and feedback. They tested it on several papers and used the results to compare the model’s comments with human feedback.
How it went
They said the grading on those papers seemed accurate and often more useful and critical than comments they had gotten from professors. The project stayed a proof of concept and was never opened up for public use. About $20 in OpenAI API fees had already gone into development.
Tips
Start with a small set of editable templates and a few sample papers before you expand the workflow. Have the agent show draft grades and feedback for review before any final output is sent or saved.

Help me build a simple app for teachers that can: 1) read an uploaded student paper plus my rubric [paste rubric], 2) suggest a grade with comments broken down by criterion, and 3) generate a lesson plan from a [topic] for [grade level]. Use separate prompt templates I can edit, test the app on [2-3] sample papers, and show me the draft results for approval before any grade is finalized, submitted, or shared. If you suggest storing files, deleting files, or sending outputs anywhere, pause and ask me first.
