Draft and queue your weekly newsletter automatically

Claude Code can pull recent posts, write a newsletter in your style, and send it to Kit for scheduling after you sign off.

What they did
Sid made a Claude Code skill in a markdown file and stored a Kit v4 API key in .env. When /newsletter runs, it checks the site’s content index for anything published in the past week, then produces a short email that follows his voice rules. They review the draft, approve it, and only then does the agent use the Kit API to set up the broadcast and place it on the calendar.
How it went
The workflow takes about two minutes end to end, instead of more than 30 minutes done manually. It also helped move their output from around two newsletters a month, and sometimes none, to a steady weekly send.
Tips
Kit can handle broadcasts, subscribers, and tags, but not forms, sequences, or automations. If your newsletter depends on those pieces, this setup won’t cover them yet.

Try it yourself with Claude Code

Build a reusable /newsletter command for me in Claude Code. Each time I run it, look in [site URL or content index] for posts published during the last [time range], then draft a newsletter in the tone of [2-3 sample newsletters]. Show me the draft and wait until I approve it before taking any action that sends, schedules, or stores anything. After approval, create the newsletter in [email tool, e.g. Kit] and schedule it for [desired send time].

Fill in the [brackets]. Agents can make mistakes, so review anything before it is sent, paid or deleted.
