Use Manus to make a site you can leave and edit

A user got Manus to create a website, but it stayed locked inside the tool and could not be managed externally.

Done with Manus· Intermediate

What they did
They had Manus generate a website, then discovered they could not reach it outside the Manus sandbox. There was no zip file to download, no direct way to sign in and work on the backend, and repeated rebuilds did not fully solve the project issues. They also reported that Manus sometimes could not spot files already present in the project folder, even after support involvement.
How it went
A site was produced, but the delivery was incomplete. The main problems were blocked external access, missing export options, and no practical path to backend edits.
Tips
If you want a site you can maintain, require an export path and outside hosting from the beginning. Keeping a copy in GitHub can provide a fallback if the agent’s workspace gets stuck.

Try it yourself with Manus

Create a website for [use case] with these sections: [section list]. Make it deployable to [hosting service or public URL] and ensure I can open it outside your workspace. Also make sure I can sign in and update the backend myself. Before any irreversible action, pause and ask for my approval, including payments, publishing, deletions, or form submissions. When you’re done, tell me how to access the live site and what files and settings you changed.

Fill in the [brackets]. Agents can make mistakes, so review anything before it is sent, paid or deleted.
