Use Hermes Agent for business cron jobs

A maker ran recurring business work through Hermes Agent and connectors, but a Composio outage stopped the whole system.

What they did
They put Hermes on Railway, used Telegram as the chat window, plugged in Alltoken.ai for the model, and relied on Composio plus Hermes memory to carry out tasks. From there, the agent was set to maintain a side project, publish a weekly subreddit growth report, and make updates in a Google Sheet on a timer. When Composio failed, Hermes could no longer operate and the scheduled jobs died with it, so they moved into debugging and thought about rebuilding the setup from scratch.
How it went
The weekly subreddit report and sheet edits performed fairly well, but the side project never reached full automation because the agent kept dropping context. The most serious breakage was the Composio outage, which took Hermes offline and, according to the poster, effectively ended the business.
Tips
If an agent depends on outside connectors, assume those links can become your weakest point. It is also worth testing how well the agent remembers longer tasks before you trust it with work that has to keep running.

Try it yourself with Hermes Agent

I want [agent name] to manage recurring business tasks for [business/project] using [connectors/tools]. First, map out each scheduled job, when it runs, and what it will change or read. Do not turn anything on until you show me the plan and ask for confirmation. Before any step that sends a message, edits data, deletes anything, or submits a form, stop and wait for my approval. If a connector goes offline, fail only that job, tell me which one broke, and leave the other scheduled jobs running if you can. Also suggest a simple health check and a backup plan for outages or lost context.

Fill in the [brackets]. Agents can make mistakes, so review anything before it is sent, paid or deleted.
