Watch market alerts and label charts with an agent

OpenChart lets Claude or Codex follow alert rules, study price moves, and add linked notes to charts while keeping the work in a local folder.

Done with ClaudeCodex· Intermediate

What they did
A user opened OpenChart and connected it to their own Claude, Codex, or Gemini account. They gave the agent a market to monitor, and it created Tea monitors, the project’s market-analysis language, to check new data as it arrived. If an alert went off, the agent looked into the move; it could also mark a selected section of a chart or place a line or zone and pin source-backed annotations to the candles.
How it went
The README is only a product overview, so it reports no performance numbers or real-world test results. It also says there are no built-in software caps on charts, indicators, or alerts.
Tips
Using the desktop app costs nothing, but agent usage is charged through the provider account, and Cloud market data is an added fee. The downloadable build is limited to macOS Apple Silicon.

In OpenChart, monitor [ticker or asset] on [timeframe] for [event, threshold, or pattern]. Build Tea monitors that watch for those conditions, and if an alert triggers, research the move using recent news, volume, and chart levels. Save a brief note in [folder path] with the most likely explanation, the support and resistance levels you identified, and what to keep an eye on next. Annotate any important chart section, trend line, or price zone with source-linked notes. Stop and ask before any irreversible action, including sending, deleting, submitting, or placing a trade. Do not trade.

Fill in the [brackets]. Agents can make mistakes, so review anything before it is sent, paid or deleted.
