Turn meeting transcripts into automation specs

Use Claude to pull automation ideas from a meeting transcript, then have Claude Code turn them into an n8n workflow and check the result.

What they did
A poster started with a recorded client call and moved the transcript from a service like Fireflies or Otter into Claude. They asked it to extract the work that could be automated and return it in a structured format. That output was then handed to Claude Code, along with their n8n skill files, so it could produce workflow JSON, verify it, inspect error logs, and update the build. Claude Code also sent the workflow to their n8n instance through MCP, while the person kept the role of reviewer, tester, and backup debugger for tougher cases.
How it went
They describe the setup as an end-to-end route from meeting notes to workflow. For one lead-enrichment project, they say the process now takes about 20 minutes instead of 2–4 hours, and most of that time is spent on review and testing. They still use the n8n UI when they need production troubleshooting, a visual pass, or a quick experiment.
Tips
They say ordinary Claude chat is not enough by itself; Claude Code access, an n8n MCP connection, and a skills library are the core pieces. Even with automation, keep a human in the loop before anything reaches production.

Try it yourself with Claude

I have a transcript from a client meeting about [topic or client]: [paste transcript]. Read it and list every task that could be automated. For each one, give me the trigger, the steps, the tools involved, and any unresolved questions. Then pick the three strongest candidates to build first and write a short spec for each. Before any action that would send, delete, submit, or change a live system, pause and ask me to approve it.
