Set up site alerts and sales-sheet entry

Use n8n to watch managed sites for outages and to turn store sales texts into Google Sheets rows.

What they did
A developer put together an n8n flow that checks the websites they oversee on a schedule. If one goes offline, Twilio sends a text, and another message goes out when the site returns; AI is only used to draft the alert wording. Another person used n8n for their first workflow to read text sales reports from 7 stores and convert them into Google Sheets entries instead of typing each cell by hand.
How it went
The outage checker seldom triggers, but it helps them notify managers before anyone else spots a problem. The sales-report flow was described as a time saver, with no numbers shared for the gain and no issues reported.
Tips
This pattern makes more sense if you already run n8n yourself and already have Twilio in place. For any workflow that can affect customers or records, keep the AI limited to formatting or drafting, and review outputs before they go live.

Try it yourself with n8n

Create an n8n workflow for me. First, check [website URLs] every [number] minutes and send a text to [phone number] through Twilio if any site is down, then send a follow-up text when it is back online. Use AI only to draft the message text. Second, take daily sales updates from [number] stores, extract the store name and sales total, and add each one to a Google Sheet. Show me the exact steps, then pause and ask for my approval before any step that would send a message, write to the sheet, or change live settings.
