Set up an agent to buy a game by itself

A developer let Claude search for a cheap game, approve the charge, and finish the purchase with no clicks.

Done with Claude· Advanced

What they did
The developer built payment plumbing and a few custom MCP connections so Claude could shop for a game on its own. In the demo, it scanned more than 10,000 titles, picked Civilization III Complete for $0.99, and asked for human approval before payment. After that, it completed settlement through an MCP server tied to a digital wallet and received the license key.
How it went
The full run took about 60 seconds and needed 0 clicks: 10 seconds to search, 5 to authorize, 30 to settle, and 15 to get the game. The demo was a merchant integration, and the developer said the hard parts were settlement and making the buyer-merchant exchange secure.
Tips
If you try this, keep approvals available at each step, or use spending caps and a whitelist of allowed merchants. Make sure the agent pauses before any payment or final submission.

Try it yourself with Operator

Find [game title] for [platform] on [store name]. Search broadly, but only consider listings at or below [max price]. Show me the best match with the item name, price, and any fees, then stop and wait for my approval before you pay. If I approve, use my saved payment method and complete the purchase, then return the confirmation and any license key or receipt.

Fill in the [brackets]. Agents can make mistakes, so review anything before it is sent, paid or deleted.
