Set up a Reddit monitor that drafts replies for review

They built a Claude-based social media agent that watches Reddit, writes reply drafts, and prepares posts for approval before scheduling.

What they did
They put together a personal social media manager with Claude, using the Agent SDK and a Claude Code subscription. It scans Reddit for relevant discussions, drafts responses in the voice of older posts, and uses account metrics plus current-versus-previous-period comparisons to gauge performance. The drafts are held until they approve them, and only then can anything be scheduled.
How it went
They say the setup can stay inside a Claude subscription if cheaper drafting runs on Haiku and the final pass uses Sonnet. The main limit is that it is not fully hands-off: they still review each draft before it gets scheduled.
Tips
Keep a human review step before any post goes live, especially if the agent is handling replies. For lower costs, route rough drafts to Haiku and reserve Sonnet for the final version.

Try it yourself with OpenClaw

Act as a social media manager for [brand/project]. Every [time interval], look through [subreddits/keywords] on Reddit for conversations worth joining. Use [past posts/examples] to match the writing style, and use [account stats / comparison window] to judge what seems to be working. Draft reply options and a short posting plan for each item, then stop and ask for my approval before you schedule or publish anything.

Fill in the [brackets]. Agents can make mistakes, so review anything before it is sent, paid or deleted.
