Run Claude each morning for briefings and inbox tasks

A developer set Claude to wake up on a schedule, draft morning updates, and respond to messages sent by email, text, or Telegram.

What they did
SyneRyder built a small Claude loop and wired it to a cron job, so it starts in the early morning while they are asleep. They gave it access to background details about their life and a long-term memory store it can search. Each run can generate a morning briefing or a personalized podcast, and new work can also arrive through email, voice text, or Telegram, including forwarded mail.
How it went
The setup did not come with any numbers. They said the system can sometimes bring up useful, unexpected ideas overnight once it has enough context about them.
Tips
A timed prompt by itself is not enough for this use case. Give the agent rich personal context and a memory source it can inspect, and pause for approval before it sends any email or takes other irreversible action.

Try it yourself with Claude Code

Help me set up a scheduled Claude workflow that runs at [time] each morning and creates a briefing from [calendar], [email], and [news sources], then saves it as [text file/audio]. Also watch [inbox/folder/phone number/Telegram chat] for tasks I send, and draft replies or complete the requested work. Before you send any message, delete anything, submit anything, or make any payment, stop and show me the exact action for approval. Treat a successful test as one briefing being created and saved.

Fill in the [brackets]. Agents can make mistakes, so review anything before it is sent, paid or deleted.
