Route Slack commands to email, calendar, and tasks

Set up a Slack-triggered agent to check Gmail, review Google Calendar, and add tasks in Notion with approval before anything is sent or deleted.

What they did
Wyndo connected one Make.com scenario to Slack so a message could trigger the flow. An OpenAI agent then read the request and used tools for Gmail, Google Calendar, and Notion: email triage, search, and drafts; event lookups and conflict checks; and task creation. It only acted when asked and asked for confirmation before sending mail or deleting calendar events, then replied back in Slack.
How it went
The creator says they have relied on it for months and found small, focused agents like this dependable. No usage totals were shared, and the detailed setup is behind a paywall.
Tips
Keep the scope narrow so the agent knows exactly which tool to use for each command. Budget for Make and model credits, and use your own OpenAI key instead of Make's built-in AI option because it can burn through credits quickly.

Try it yourself with n8n

Help me build a Slack-based agent using [Make/n8n] that connects to [Gmail], [Google Calendar], and [Notion or another task app]. When I send commands such as "review email", "show today’s calendar", or "create task: [text]", first decide which app to use and then carry out the matching action. Before any irreversible step like sending an email, deleting an event, or submitting a change, post a clear confirmation in Slack and wait for my approval. After each request, summarize what you found or changed in Slack and stop once the test version works.

Fill in the [brackets]. Agents can make mistakes, so review anything before it is sent, paid or deleted.
