Rebook a missed connection before landing

A flight agent found a new route and handled a free rebooking while the traveler was still in the air.

What they did
Denis gave Dot access to its own computer so it could act on his behalf. While he was still on a delayed Alaska flight, the agent talked with Alaska, Delta, and KLM at the same time, compared options, and asked for a free rebooking. Denis then approved the change.
How it went
The new booking was secured without an overnight stop in Seattle. The same approach was used again mid-Atlantic when the Seattle-Munich trip was delayed too.
Tips
Give the agent clear flight details and the destination you need to reach. Ask it to pause before any booking change, then review the new itinerary and any charges before approving.

I’m on [airline] flight [flight number], and the delay may make me miss my connection at [connecting airport]. Contact [airline(s)] by chat, look for the best no-cost rebooking to [final destination], and show me the options, new itinerary, and any fees. Stop and wait for my approval before you confirm any booking change, then send me the final details after it’s done.
