Open a Search Console report with Claude in Chrome

Claude opened a Search Console page in Chrome, then paused when Google asked Kevin Welter to sign in.

What they did
Kevin Welter asked his AI employee Sebastian, which handles SEO and GEO work, to get to a report inside Google Search Console. Because that data lives in the web portal rather than an API, Sebastian used Claude in Chrome to load Kevin’s open browser, inspect the page with screenshots, and navigate until Google displayed a login screen. It then stopped and told Kevin what happened instead of trying to deal with credentials.
How it went
The process did not reach the report before the sign-in screen appeared. Kevin logged in himself and only then let Claude continue reading the page. He sees that credential boundary as the practical takeaway from the task.
Tips
Claude in Chrome works only in Google Chrome on a desktop computer, and it requires a paid Claude plan such as Pro or higher. You also need to approve each site separately, and Claude will not enter passwords.
