What they did
A property appraiser in South Korea, who did not already know how to code, turned to Claude Code to create a program for appraisal reporting. They spent about two months refining it, burning through many tokens and pushing past several rounds of frustration. A previous try to have professional developers build something similar had fallen apart because the work process was too difficult to explain.
How it went
The program cut out a lot of the routine report-writing effort. Colleagues were impressed, and the company was on track to roll it out formally. The CEO also took notice and proposed an incentive like royalties, but no hard performance numbers were shared.
Tips
If your job has a hard-to-describe workflow, expect a lot of iteration before the tool feels right. Budget for time and cost as well, since this person used Claude’s pricier plan for the project.
