Let an AI renter handle apartment follow-ups
A renter let Kaleno message properties, ask for missing details, and keep the conversation going while they stayed in control.
- What they did
- A renter described the apartment they wanted in their own words, then switched on Kaleno’s AI Contacting option. The agent emailed properties, filled in gaps such as missing details, asked for tours, and kept following up. The renter could read the thread, step in, or turn the feature off whenever they wanted.
- How it went
- During the June-to-October 2026 beta, about 150,000 renters used the product. Kaleno says AI Contacting handled half of property emails and averaged eight messages in each exchange. Those are the company’s own figures, and independent testing is still pending.
- Tips
- Treat this as a drafting and outreach helper, not a replacement for your own review. Make sure the agent pauses before sending anything, and remember that the 50% figure covers emails only, not calls or direct tour bookings.

I’m apartment hunting for [city or neighborhood]. My budget is [rent range], I need [number] bedrooms, I want to move by [date], and my must-haves are [features]. Review listings on [site or listing source] and identify the best matches. For each one, draft a message asking about any missing details such as fees, lease term, availability, pet rules, or tour times. Show me each draft and wait for my approval before sending anything. Keep track of replies, suggest follow-up questions when needed, and stop when you’ve prepared a short comparison of the top [number] options.
