Screen job listings against your resume and salary targets

A job seeker uses an agent each morning to filter LinkedIn roles by level, pay, and resume fit before deciding what to pursue.

Done with Custom agent· Intermediate· Oct 2026

What they did
After being laid off, they set up a custom agent to scan new LinkedIn postings every morning. For each role, it checks levels.fyi for the company’s level and pay range, then compares the listing with their resume and marks how well it matches. They still make the final call on which jobs stay on the list.
How it went
The agent usually turns up 5-10 possible roles a day, but human review cuts that down to about 0-2, or roughly 0.5 on average. They say about 10% of applications lead to a response, and their interview pipeline stays busy.
Tips
Use the agent to narrow the pile, not replace your own judgment. A focused shortlist matters more here than sending out lots of applications.

For each listing, look up the company’s level and typical pay on levels.fyi, compare the role with my resume at [resume link or pasted resume], and give it a fit score from 1 to 5 with one short reason. Rank the best matches, flag anything below [minimum salary], and stop before any application, email, message, or submission until I say to continue.
