Let a personal agent handle forms and lease prep

Lane Rettig used a persistent OpenClaw agent to work through hospital forms, financial analysis, and lease renewal while keeping final approval in his hands.

What they did
Rettig installed Baz, a persistent OpenClaw agent, on a separate machine and gave it narrow permissions for email, calendar, documents, and messaging tools. He also had it load a memory file at the start of each session so it could keep track of ongoing work. During its first week, Baz read 34 pages of hospital paperwork, prepared a draft for insurance pre-approval, and compared leases while building cash-flow models.
How it went
What Rettig expected to take a weekend was done in an afternoon. When the first lease write-up was too thin, he pushed back and got a better version. He still had to approve anything that left the agent, and Baz could not arrange flights or move money.
Tips
Keep the agent on a tight leash if you want this kind of setup to stay safe. The tradeoff is setup time: each service link reportedly took 30 to 60 minutes to configure, and the author said a non-technical person could not do it yet.

Try it yourself with OpenClaw

Set up as my ongoing admin helper. You may read [email], [calendar], [documents folder], and [messaging app], and you should consult a memory file each time you start. This week, go through my [medical forms], summarize the important items, and build a draft approach for [lease renewal] and [finances]. Before you send a message, submit paperwork, make a payment, delete a file, or carry out any other irreversible step, show me the exact action and pause until I approve it.

Fill in the [brackets]. Agents can make mistakes, so review anything before it is sent, paid or deleted.
