Let an agent handle routine grocery ordering

A parent used Grok Bot with a Samsung fridge and receipt history to automate family grocery runs.

What they did
They linked Grok Bot to a Samsung fridge so it could check the two shelves the cameras cover. To cover anything outside that view, they also loaded in a usual shopping list derived from earlier receipt scans. On a twice-weekly cadence, the agent estimates what is missing, adds recurring basics, searches for deals and coupon codes, and then prepares the order while coordinating collection on the way home from one of two stores. The parent mostly sets the rules and gets a morning note that helps combine errands.
How it went
They report that it saves a meaningful amount of time, money, and effort. In Norway, they also have it pass the grocery order into Oda while keeping the basket above the about $80 minimum for free delivery. The fridge view does not cover everything, so the receipt-backed list is necessary to fill the gaps.
Tips
Give the agent a backup inventory if your camera only covers part of the fridge. Add a hard stop before checkout so you can confirm the final cart, discounts, and pickup details.

Try it yourself with Grok Bot

Connect to my [fridge brand/app] and review the food you can actually see. Use this backup household list from previous receipts: [paste list]. Estimate what [number] people will need for [store], look for discounts or promo codes, and set up a pickup order for a time that works with [my schedule] at [store location]. Do not submit, pay, or finalize anything irreversible until you show me the cart, total, savings, and pickup time and I approve it.

Fill in the [brackets]. Agents can make mistakes, so review anything before it is sent, paid or deleted.
