Let an agent reach out to car dealers for you

Margot used Claude Cowork to build a Houston dealer list, contact stores, and keep track of replies while car shopping.

What they did
Margot had Claude Cowork put together a spreadsheet of Houston dealerships that matched what she wanted. It then wrote outreach messages, submitted them through dealership contact pages, and stayed on top of the reply chains. When stores came back with inventory information, it handled the next exchange as well.
How it went
A number of dealerships responded with inventory details in about an hour. Margot called the experience futuristic but also a bit childlike. On the first try, the messages came from an email address she had not meant to use.
Tips
Spell out the exact email account the agent should use, or it may send from the wrong one. Also tell it to leave any dealership that gets stuck and continue on.

Try it yourself with Claude Cowork

I’m looking for a [car make/model] in [city]. Create a tracker of [number] dealerships that fit my criteria, including contact details and any useful notes. Draft a short message asking for pricing on [trim], [color], and [budget], then pause and show me each email and each web form before anything is sent or submitted. After I approve, send everything from [specific email account], watch for dealer replies, answer simple follow-up questions, update the tracker, and skip any store that stops responding so you can keep going.

Fill in the [brackets]. Agents can make mistakes, so review anything before it is sent, paid or deleted.
