Search venue sites for concerts by date
They asked Operator to browse Berlin venue pages for classical concerts in a set date range and report what was on and what was sold out.
- What they did
- The author used Operator, which runs ChatGPT inside its own browser VM, and pointed it at several Berlin venue sites to look for classical concerts. They also wanted the agent to check dates and flag any sold-out shows. Operator kept working on its own for about 15 minutes before giving a first answer, then the author followed up and asked for URLs.
- How it went
- The first reply listed names and dates, but that was not enough to locate the concerts. A second run, which took 33 minutes, returned three concerts, but they were not the right ones. Date selection was a problem for Operator, and anything that depended on login, such as pulling Gmail receipts, failed because the VM was not signed in.
- Tips
- For site-hunting tasks, ask for the direct page link, not just the event name. Avoid jobs that need an existing login unless you can provide access another way.
Try it yourself with Operator
Open [venue A], [venue B], and [venue C] in [city] and find [event type] happening from [start date] through [end date]. For each match, give me the title, date, venue, ticket price, and page link, and say whether the site showed it as sold out. If a page or control is hard to use, tell me what stopped you. Do not make any purchase; pause and ask me before any action that would submit, pay, delete, or send anything.
