Control a desktop agent from WeChat for document tasks
A tester sent WeChat instructions through WorkBuddy to OpenClaw, which made a skills list, a web page, and a PDF on the desktop.
- What they did
- The tester used WorkBuddy as a middle layer: a message sent in WeChat was handed off to WorkBuddy, which then told OpenClaw what to do on the computer and relayed the response. They started by asking for a Markdown file with 10 skills they should install, then followed up by having that file turned into a designed web page. OpenClaw selected the frontend-design skill itself, and for a later request it generated and executed Python code to produce a PDF on the desktop.
- How it went
- OpenClaw completed all three file-making tasks. It was fine for development and document work, but the more involved requests took a long time to finish. It still could not sign into WeChat or send messages to contacts.
- Tips
- This setup is useful for creating files and web pages, not for normal chat chores. Build in a check before anything that involves sending, logging in, deleting, or submitting.
Try it yourself with OpenClaw
I will route instructions to you through [chat app] and [relay/tool] so you can work on my desktop. First, [research a topic / gather recommendations / draft a list] and save it as [Markdown file / web page / PDF] in [folder or path]. If you need to choose a skill for the task, pick the best fit and say why. Before you log into any account, send a message, delete a file, or submit anything, pause and ask me to approve it. When you finish, give me the file path and a brief summary of what you did.
Fill in the [brackets]. Agents can make mistakes, so review anything before it is sent, paid or deleted.
